Our Mission is to serve the needs of our customers with quality services.  We want to continue developing a business that will contribute to the overall health and strength of the company.

Our customers and our employees are the most important factor in the success of striving to reach our corporate mission.  We conduct our duties with a team effort.  With everyone communicating and working together, we are successful.

In 1961, Orville "Bozzie" and Lois Burroughs established Burroughs Trucking Co. with the purchase of their first truck.  Current President & CEO, John Burroughs, joined his father in 1962 to operate and manage the company.  Since starting in 1961, Burroughs Trucking Co. has grown from a local carrier with one truck to a transport service with 24 trucks and a full 48-state authority. We currently transport grain, fertilizer, anhydrous ammonia, lime, salt, coal, construction material and refrigerated foods.

 In 1971, Burroughs Trucking Co. began serving the agriculture industry and in 1986, Burroughs Ag Services, Inc. was established as a wholly owned subsidiary. Burroughs Ag Services is a full service crop protection and fertilization retailer with eight locations in central Illinois: Toluca, Washburn, Varna, Minonk, Dana, Sparland, Lostant and Wyoming.

In 1987, John and Sandy Burroughs acquired an independent fertilizer and crop protection retail operation in Nevada, Iowa and named the business S & J Ag Services, Inc.

Since 1991, Burroughs Ag Services, Inc. and S & J Ag Services, Inc. have been named one of the top 100 ag retailers in the nation according to Farm Chemical magazine.
